Art Nouveau Hall Stand
Art Nouveau was an international style of art, architecture and decorative applied arts popular between 1890 and 1910. A reaction to the academic art of the 19th century, it was inspired by natural forms and structures, particularly the curved lines of plants and flowers. Art Nouveau pieces often are decorated with organic, curvaceous patterns inspired by botanicals and the female form. This mahogany hall stand has the original metal umbrella trays and simple mirror panels. The beautiful deatils in the shaped back straights and edging on the cornice and shelf depict the style of the era. Dimensions: H:187cm, W: 85cm, D: 27cm.
