Georgian Cabinet of Shelves
From the era of George III and later between 1820-1830, this is an unusual mahogany shelving solution. Possibly for document storage atop a floor standing piece of furniture, or once situated on a desk. The double doors are inlaid with cross banding surrounding the frame. The mahogany is warm, rich and highly polished. The cabinet holds 20 narrow shelves, double sides each with 10 shelves. Dimensions: H of unit: 61cm, W of unit: 84.5cm, D of unit: 32cm, H of each equal shelf: 6cm.
