Victorian Aesthetic Corner Cupboard
A unique and beautiful decorative item from the Victorian Asethetic art movements across Europe during the early part of the 19th century between 1890 and 1900. Makers focused more on pieces being beautiful rather than having a deeper meaning, 'art for art's sake' and producing beautiful things to be enjoyed. The little corner cupboard has carved elaborate, decorative edgings and cornice. The painted door shows detailed floral patterning which has been handpainted. The cupboard has a painted interior and a single shelf. The door has a charming tear drop handle. Dimensions: H: 83cm, W: 35cm, D: 20cm.
