Walnut Side Cabinet
A beautiful period piece of Jacobean furnitire dating from the early part of the 17th century. The walnut side cabinet would have been a side board piece to store glassware and crockery in a dining room. The heavy carved features include two deeply moulded drawers above three spiral pilasters and geometric lozenge panelled doors. The cabinet sits on block stiles and the sides have twin raised and fielded panels. There is one sturdy shelf in a fixed position inside. The quality of the restored and reconditioned solid walnut has a glorious rich colour. Dimensions: H: 93cm, W: 114cm, D: 58cm, Shelf H: 32cm, Shelf D: 40cm. We also have a small Italian cupboard wth similar characteristics that would work alongside this lovely cupboard as a set of two storage pieces. Photographs of this smaller item are also on the website.
