This piece of argicultural history originates in southern europe. The yoke would have been used by two people to either carry baskets, jars or sacks of grain, spices or tea. The wooden yoke is an unusual object as most examples are predominantly used by cattle or carried upon the shoulders of one person. This accessory would be a usfeul and moveable storage item for hanging towels or scarves. The yoke could be wall mounted as a shelf or simply leaned up against a wall to create an alternative modern twist on the origins of this yoke. Dimensions: H: 160cm, W: 63cm.
